WhatsApp link generator
Type your number and an optional first message to get a wa.me link that opens a chat with you. Copy it into your bio, or download a QR code for it.
Start with + and your country code, for example +1 for the US or Canada, +44 for the UK, +91 for India.
Your link and QR code appear here as you type.
How to use your WhatsApp link
A WhatsApp link is the quickest way to let someone message you without them having to find or save your number. Put it wherever people already look for you:
- In your Instagram or TikTok bio. Paste it as a link, or add it as a button on a link-in-bio page so it sits next to your other links.
- In an email signature or a Google Business profile.
- On a flyer, menu or shop window as a QR code. Customers point their phone camera at it and a chat opens.
Getting the number right
The link only works with the full international number. That means the country code first, then your number without the leading zero. A UK mobile written as 07911 123456 becomes +44 7911 123456. A US number becomes +1 followed by the ten digits. If a link opens WhatsApp but says the number is not on WhatsApp, check the country code first.
Writing a good first message
Keep it short and say why they are writing: "Hi, I would like to book a session" works better than a long script. If you run different services, make one link for each with a different message, so you know what each person wants before you reply.
Want it as a button instead? Linkerzz has a WhatsApp button block, so you can put this link on a page alongside everything else you share.
Questions
What is a WhatsApp link?
It is a normal web address that opens a chat with your number in WhatsApp. It looks like https://wa.me/14155552671. Anyone who taps it lands in a chat with you, with no need to save your number first.
How do I write the phone number?
Use your full number with the country code and no spaces, dashes, brackets or plus sign in the link itself. The generator does this for you: type your number with a + and your country code, like +44 7911 123456, and it builds the right link.
Can I fill in the first message for people?
Yes. Whatever you put in the message box is already typed in the chat when the person arrives. They still have to press send, so it works as a suggestion rather than an automatic message.
Do I need WhatsApp Business?
No. The link works with a regular WhatsApp number as well as a WhatsApp Business number. It only needs to be a number that is registered on WhatsApp.
Is my number sent to you?
No. The link and the QR code are made in your browser, and nothing you type is sent to our servers or stored.
