The short answer

No. Instagram shows how many people tapped your link, never which accounts. You need a professional account to see the count, and a link-in-bio page shows which of your links people choose.

Linkerzz makes a link-in-bio page builder and is not affiliated with Instagram, TikTok or any other app named here. Facts about other apps were checked on October 11, 2026. Apps change their menus often, so trust the app's own help page if yours looks different.

Short answer: no. Instagram does not tell you who clicked the link in your bio, and it will not tell you which accounts tapped any link. It shows a count, and that is all. Nobody, including link-in-bio tools, can give you a list of names, so be careful with any app or website that says it can.

What you can find out is how many taps you got, and which of your links people choose. That is usually the information you need anyway.

Why Instagram cannot show names

Some actions on Instagram are tied to a person, such as likes, story views and shares. A tap on a link is different. The moment someone taps it, they leave Instagram and arrive on a website as an ordinary visitor. Instagram reports the tap as a number and does not pass a name along.

Be wary of anything that promises a list of who clicked. It is either guessing or asking for your password, and neither is worth the risk to your account.

You need a professional account (Creator or Business). Switching is free in your account settings, and you can switch back.

  1. Open your profile and tap Professional dashboard, or tap Insights.
  2. Look for the Profile activity or Interactions section. Instagram has moved these around over the years.
  3. Find the number for link taps or website taps, and choose the date range you want.

For Stories, open a story, swipe up, and look for the number of taps on your link sticker. Story figures are listed separately from your profile link.

Instagram renames and rearranges these screens fairly often, so if the labels above are not exactly what you see, look for the same words nearby.

What Instagram’s count cannot tell you

Say 40 people tapped your link this week. That is useful, but it leaves out the questions that matter most:

  • Which link did they pick? If you have a shop, a booking page and a newsletter, one number does not say which one people wanted.
  • Where did they come from? A tap from a Reel and a tap from your profile look the same.
  • Did the page work? You cannot tell whether people stayed or left.

If your bio link goes straight to one website, you only ever get that single number. If it goes to a page that holds several links, each link can be counted on its own.

That is what a link-in-bio page gives you. People tap your profile link, land on the page, and tap the thing they came for. You then see how many views the page had and how many taps each link got, so you can move the popular ones to the top and drop the ones nobody taps.

A few things to keep in mind when you pick a tool:

  • Counts, not names. Visitors on a link-in-bio page are anonymous. That is how it should be.
  • Bots should not be counted. Link previews and crawlers load pages too. Good analytics filter them out so your numbers are real people.
  • Check what is free. Some tools hide basic analytics behind a paid plan.

How it works on Linkerzz

Every Linkerzz page has analytics on the free plan. You see your page views, how many people visited, how many taps your links got, and the rate of taps per view. The free plan also draws a daily chart and lists your three most-tapped links. Pro adds the sources people came from, a full list of every link, and a comparison to the previous period.

It does not use cookies and does not collect personal details, and it never shows names, only counts. Claim your link for free, paste it in your Instagram bio, and after a few days you will know which of your links are worth keeping.

Frequently asked questions

Does Instagram tell you who clicks the link in your bio?

No. Instagram shows a count of link taps on professional accounts, never the names of the people who tapped.

How do I see how many people clicked my link in bio?

Use a professional account, open your insights and look for link taps or website taps for the dates you choose. A link-in-bio page also counts taps on each of your links.

Can I see who viewed my profile?

No. Instagram does not offer a list of who viewed your profile, just as it does not name the people who tap the link in your bio. Professional accounts see counts, not names.

Can I see who tapped my story link?

Not by name. For stories you get a count of taps on the link sticker.

Why can I not find link taps at all?

They are part of Instagram's insights for professional accounts. If your account is personal, switch to a professional one first.

Do I need a link-in-bio page to see taps?

No. The tap count from Instagram is free on a professional account. A link-in-bio page is what you add when you want to know which link people choose.
