tiktokThe short answer
Open your profile, tap Edit profile, then tap Add next to Links. TikTok's help page says the link option is for accounts with at least 1,000 followers or a verified business account. You do not need a business account if you have the followers.
Linkerzz makes a link-in-bio page builder and is not affiliated with Instagram, TikTok or any other app named here. Facts about other apps were checked on October 12, 2026. Apps change their menus often, so trust the app's own help page if yours looks different.

A link in your TikTok bio is how people get from your videos to your shop, your booking page or your other accounts. TikTok does not let you put clickable links in captions, so the bio is the one place that works. Here is how to add a link to your TikTok bio, who can do it, and what to do if you cannot.
How to add a link to your TikTok bio
- Open TikTok and tap Profile.
- Tap Edit profile.
- Next to Links, tap Add.
- Paste your address and follow the prompts to save it.
Open your profile from another account, or from a browser, and tap the link to check that it opens the right page.
Who can add a link to their TikTok bio?
TikTok’s help page says the profile link is available to:
- accounts with at least 1,000 followers, or
- accounts with a verified business account.
That is the whole rule on the page. Menus and rules do change, so check the Links row in your app and TikTok’s help page for the current wording.
What if you cannot see the Links option?
If you see no Links row, the most common reason is that your account is under 1,000 followers and is not a verified business account. These are your options:
- Keep growing. The option appears when your account qualifies. Check the number of followers shown on your profile.
- Look at a business account. TikTok names verified business accounts as the other route. Read TikTok’s business help pages for how verification works, and weigh the trade-off below first.
- Ask TikTok. If you meet the rule and the option is still missing, TikTok’s help centre can look at your account.
- Say it in words. Until a link works, write your handle or website name in your bio text and in your videos, for example “Instagram: yourname”. People can search for it.
A trade-off if you consider a business account
TikTok’s Creator Academy says that business accounts are not eligible for the Creator Rewards Program, which pays creators for their videos. If you hope to earn that way, think about it before you switch. If you do not plan to join that program, a business account may suit a shop or a service better than a personal one.
Can I add my Instagram link to my TikTok bio?
Yes. TikTok says it no longer supports links that open or log you into other social apps, but you can still link to their websites. Paste the address of your profile, for example https://www.instagram.com/yourname. There is a full walk-through in How to link Instagram to TikTok.
What should you link to?
Most people have more than one place to send viewers: a shop, a booking link, a newsletter, an Instagram profile, a YouTube channel. A TikTok bio has little room, so the easiest way is to link to one page that holds all of them. If that page is a Linktree, here is how to add your Linktree to your TikTok bio. You can change what is on the page without touching your TikTok profile.
A few things make that page work well from TikTok:
- Make the main action obvious. Most visitors come from a video and have a few seconds.
- Keep the page light. TikTok says it limits how people browse chains of external links in its in-app browser, and visitors may be asked to open the page in their phone’s browser. A page that stands on its own, with the links people want on it, avoids that.
- Match the video. If the video talked about a recipe, the first thing on the page should be the recipe, not your homepage.
With Linkerzz you can claim your link for free, pick a theme, add your links, a WhatsApp button and a contact form, and paste the address into TikTok. Free pages count visits and taps on your links, so you can see whether people follow the link after you post. If you also want the link on Instagram, here is the same walk-through for Instagram.
A quick checklist
- Check your followers. At 1,000, the Links option should appear.
- Add the link from Edit profile, then Links, then Add.
- Test it by tapping it from another account.
- Say “link in bio” in your videos or captions so people know where to look.
- Look at your page’s taps after a week and move the most popular link to the top.

Frequently asked questions
How do I add a link to my TikTok bio?
Open your TikTok profile, tap Edit profile, tap Add next to Links, and paste your address. The option is shown to accounts with at least 1,000 followers and to verified business accounts.
How do I add a link to my TikTok bio without 1,000 followers?
TikTok's help page names two routes: 1,000 followers or a verified business account. If you have neither, the Links option may not appear. Until it does, put your handle or website name in your bio text.
How do I put a link in my TikTok bio without a business account?
With at least 1,000 followers you do not need one. TikTok says the link is available to accounts with 1,000 followers or a verified business account.
Why can't I add a link to my TikTok bio?
Most often because the account is under 1,000 followers and is not a verified business account. The feature can also be missing for other account reasons, and TikTok's help centre can check your account.
Can I add my Instagram link to my TikTok bio?
Yes. Paste your Instagram profile address, instagram.com/yourname. TikTok no longer supports links that open or log you into other apps, but a web address to the profile works.
Should I switch to a business account just to get the link?
Think about the trade-off first. TikTok's Creator Academy says business accounts are not eligible for the Creator Rewards Program, so check that before you switch if you plan to earn that way.
