The short answer

Paste your profile address into the other app's link field: instagram.com/yourname in TikTok, and tiktok.com/@yourname in Instagram. TikTok shows a link field at 1,000 followers or with a verified business account, and it no longer connects to other apps directly.

Linkerzz makes a link-in-bio page builder and is not affiliated with Instagram, TikTok or any other app named here. Facts about other apps were checked on October 12, 2026. Apps change their menus often, so trust the app's own help page if yours looks different.

You post on Instagram and on TikTok, and you want people on one app to find you on the other. The two apps do not connect to each other, so the way to do it is simple: put the web address of your profile on the other app. Here is how, and what to do when the option is missing.

  1. Open Instagram and go to your profile.
  2. Tap Edit profile.
  3. Find the Links or Website field. The name depends on your version of the app.
  4. Paste your TikTok profile address, which looks like https://www.tiktok.com/@yourname, and save.

You can type the address yourself, using your TikTok username after the @. Test it from a phone you are not logged in on. A link that opens your profile in the browser is what you want.

  1. Open TikTok and tap Profile.
  2. Tap Edit profile.
  3. Next to Links, tap Add.
  4. Paste the address of your Instagram profile, https://www.instagram.com/yourname, and save.

TikTok’s help page says it no longer supports links that open or log in to other social apps. You paste a normal web address, and that is all it takes.

TikTok shows the link field to accounts with at least 1,000 followers, and to verified business accounts. Below that, you may not see it at all. The rules have changed more than once, so look at the Links row in your app and at TikTok’s help page for your account type.

Until the option appears, you can still say it in your bio text and your videos, for example “Instagram: yourname”. People can search for it.

TikTok’s link field holds a single address. If you want people to reach your Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, your shop and your email, you will run out of room quickly, and you will have to swap the link every time something changes.

The usual fix is a page that lists everything. You put its address in both profiles, and it never changes, even when your links do. If you add a new account or a new shop later, you edit the page and nothing else.

Show both accounts on one page

With Linkerzz you can claim your link for free, then add a profile card for Instagram and another for TikTok. Type only your username and the card builds the link for you. There are cards for 11 networks, including YouTube, X, Snapchat and Threads, so you can list every account you have.

You can then add the rest: your booking link, your shop, a WhatsApp button, and a contact form. Paste the one address into Instagram and TikTok, and keep it the same everywhere.

Make it easy to find you

  • Use the same username on both apps when you can. People who find you on one will guess your name on the other.
  • Say where to find you. A line such as “More on Instagram” in a video, or “Videos on TikTok” in an Instagram bio, gets more taps than a link alone.
  • Check your links now and then. Apps change their menus, and a link that stops working costs you visitors without telling you.
  • See what works. Free Linkerzz pages count how many people visit and which links they tap, so you can see whether the Instagram or the TikTok card gets more clicks.

Frequently asked questions

How do I add my Instagram link to my TikTok bio?

Open your TikTok profile, tap Edit profile, tap Add next to Links, and paste your Instagram profile address, instagram.com/yourname. TikTok shows the Links field to accounts with at least 1,000 followers and to verified business accounts.

Can I connect my Instagram account to TikTok directly?

TikTok no longer supports links that open or log you into other social apps. You add the web address of your Instagram profile instead.

Why can I not add a link on TikTok?

TikTok shows the link option to accounts with at least 1,000 followers and to verified business accounts. Below that, the option may not appear.

Can I put my TikTok link in my Instagram bio?

Yes. Add the address of your TikTok profile, tiktok.com/@yourname, in the link or website field when you edit your Instagram profile.

What should I do if I want to link more than one account?

TikTok's link field holds one address. Point it to a single page that lists all your accounts, and use the same page in your Instagram bio.

Should I use the same username on both?

It helps. People who find you on one app can guess your name on the other, and the links look consistent.
