The short answer

Open with your strongest work, then make the next step easy: packages, a booking calendar or enquiry form, and one testimonial. Keep the page short, send big image files to your own gallery, and let the link in your bio do the selling while you shoot.

Linkerzz makes a link-in-bio page builder and is not affiliated with Instagram, TikTok or any other app named here.

Your Instagram feed is a portfolio. Your link in bio is the front desk. A client who loves a wedding gallery or a portrait series taps your link next, and what they find there decides whether they book you or move on to the next photographer.

This guide shows what a photographer’s page needs and how to keep it quick to set up. We use Linkerzz, which has a template for photographers, but the ideas work on any tool.

The short version

Lead with your best work. Then give a client three things: your packages, an easy way to book, and a reason to trust you. Keep it to five or six blocks.

1. Lead with your best work

The first thing on the page should be a picture, not a paragraph. Use a large portfolio card or a few photo tiles, each linking to a gallery of that kind of work: weddings, portraits, products, events. If you shoot several kinds, show one tile for each, so a visitor finds their kind of shoot in a second.

Pick work you want to be hired for, not simply work you are proud of. If you want more weddings, do not lead with a street photography series.

2. Show your packages

People book faster when they know roughly what it costs. A link to a clear packages page, with what is included and a starting price, filters out the wrong enquiries and warms up the right ones.

If you do not want to publish prices, say what is included and what a typical shoot looks like, and invite people to ask for a quote.

3. Make booking effortless

Choose one main action and make it obvious:

  • A booking calendar. Add a Calendly or Cal.com card. On Linkerzz it only loads the calendar when someone taps it, so your page stays fast.
  • An enquiry form. A short contact form with name, email, date and a message. The messages arrive in your Linkerzz inbox, and on Pro you also get an email for each one.
  • WhatsApp. A button that opens a chat with a message already written, such as “Hi, I would like to ask about a shoot”. You can make the link with our free WhatsApp link generator.

If you take only one, take the one your clients already use.

4. Add proof

Weddings and portraits are a leap of trust. One short testimonial, a few lines at most, answers the question every client has: “Will I be happy with this person?” On Linkerzz it is a Quote block of up to 300 characters with the client’s name. Ask for permission before you use it.

5. Sell prints, presets or a guide

If you sell anything beyond sessions, give it one tile that links to your shop. Keep it separate from booking, so a client who wants a session does not have to look past a shop.

Keep your images sharp

Photographers worry, rightly, about quality. Here is how it works on Linkerzz so there are no surprises:

  • When you upload a picture, your browser shrinks it to at most 1,400 pixels on the longest side and saves it as a WebP file, under 1 MB. Profile photos are smaller, at 512 pixels.
  • That is plenty sharp on a phone screen, and it keeps your page loading fast.
  • For clients who want to see full-size work, link a tile to your own gallery or portfolio site, where the original files live.

The free plan allows 8 pictures across your picture and gallery blocks. Pro allows 100. A gallery block holds up to 6 images, so one block can show a small series.

What to leave off

  • A link for every gallery you have ever made. Group your work into three or four clear categories.
  • A long bio. One line is enough: what you shoot and where.
  • Several ways to book. A calendar, a form and three social links compete with each other. Offer the one you want people to use.

Put it on your cards and your studio wall

The same address can go on your business card or your studio wall as a QR code, so anyone who meets you can reach your page in seconds. Our free QR code generator runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded, and this guide covers size and placement.

Set it up in ten minutes

  1. Create a free account and choose the photographers template.
  2. Replace the example photos, links and your profile picture with your own. The editor lists everything that still needs changing, and you cannot publish until the placeholders are gone.
  3. Add your portfolio tiles, your packages link and your booking card or form.
  4. Add one testimonial.
  5. Publish and paste your address into your Instagram and TikTok bios.

The free plan gives you one page of up to 7 blocks and every theme. Pro adds your own address, such as links.yourname.com, up to 5 pages and more blocks. See the pricing page for the full list.

Frequently asked questions

What should a photographer put in a link in bio?

A portfolio card with your best work, your packages or pricing, a way to book or enquire, one testimonial and, if you sell them, a link to prints or presets.

Will my photos look worse on a link in bio page?

On Linkerzz pictures are resized to 1,400 pixels on the longest side and saved as compressed WebP files so the page loads fast. That looks sharp on a phone. Link to your own gallery for full-size files.

How many pictures can I add on the free plan?

The free Linkerzz plan allows 8 pictures across your picture and gallery blocks. Pro allows 100.

How do clients book me?

Add a Calendly or Cal.com booking card, or a contact form whose messages land in your Linkerzz inbox. On Pro you also get an email for each message.

Do I keep the rights to my photos?

Yes. You own what you publish. Our terms only give us the licence we need to host and show your pictures while they are on your page.
