How to remove a link from your Instagram bio

Maybe the shop is closed, the offer is over or you have a new website. Whatever the reason, taking a link off your Instagram profile takes a few taps.
Remove a link from your Instagram bio
These steps come from Instagram’s Help Center page, “Add a website to your Instagram profile”.
- Tap your profile picture in the bottom right to open your profile.
- Tap Edit profile.
- Tap Links.
- Tap the link you want to get rid of, then tap Remove link.
- Tap Done and go back to your profile.
If you have more than one link, only the one you tapped goes. Instagram’s Help Center says you can have up to 5 websites on a profile, so repeat the steps for any others.
Change a link instead
To swap a link for another one, remove the old one as above. Then, still in Links, tap Add external link (iPhone) or Add link (Android) and enter the new address. The full steps, including putting several links in order, are in how to add a link to your Instagram bio.
If the link is in your bio text
Sometimes an address is typed into the bio itself and not into Links. Those are two different places. To remove it, open Edit profile, tap your bio, delete the address from the text and save. How to edit your Instagram bio shows the steps.
Stop having to change it
If you keep swapping links, think about pointing your bio at one page of your own. You change what is on the page, and the address in your bio never changes. A Linkerzz page is free to start, and you can read what a link in bio page is first.
